S.Amdt.419 - To increase the budget authority for Federal "FIRE Act" grants and to express the sense of the Senate that from the total funding provided for Federal "FIRE Act" grants, not less than $1,000,000,000 per year will be used for grants to local governments to hire additional firefighters and not less that $750,000,000 per year for the purchase of firefighting equipment and training, and to provide for a reduction in the deficit.
