How AllCiv’s newsroom operates
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Editorial Policy describes how AllCiv’s newsroom operates. It is provided for informational purposes and does not modify or override the Terms and Conditions, including the disclaimers in Sections 4.8 and 8.
AllCiv’s news coverage is built on legislation, votes, hearings, communications, lobbying, and campaign finance from public records. Editors generally determine what stories we cover. Our data platform is designed to establish the underlying fact base from primary sources, which may include congressional filings, hearing records, lobbying disclosures, FEC filings, and similar public documents. AI-assisted drafting tools typically generate initial drafts from that fact base. Our editorial workflow is designed to include editor review of drafts prior to publication. AllCiv publishes the content on the Services.
AllCiv covers the U.S. Congress, federal and state agencies, lobbying activity, and elections, with a focus on actions that are part of the public record.
AllCiv reports primarily from primary public records. Articles link to underlying source documents — filings, hearing transcripts, vote records, and disclosures — so readers can review the source material directly.
Most AllCiv coverage is reporting on public records and public proceedings. Where an article includes analysis or commentary, we identify it as such. AllCiv’s coverage is nonpartisan; we do not endorse candidates or parties.
AllCiv corrects verified factual errors. To report a factual error, contact [email protected] with the article URL and a description of the error. We review reported errors against the underlying source records. Subjects of coverage who believe a story omits material context or contains a factual error may use the same contact path.
