H.Amdt.79 - Amendment maintains provisions enacted in FY 2009 and FY 2010 that allow fire departments to use grants to rehire laid-off firefighters and to prevent others from being laid off. The amendment also continues provisions that waive certain budgetary requirements local fire departments have to fulfill in order to receive a grant.
