- Joint Economic Management Committee“The Governments of the United States and the Federated States of Micronesia shall establish a Joint Economic Management Committee. Through Fiscal Year 2023, the Joint Economic Management Committee shall be governed as follows. The Joint Economic Committee shall be composed of a U.S. chair, two other members from the Government of the United States, and two members from the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia. The Joint Economic Management Committee shall meet at least once each year to review the audits and reports required under Article I of this Title, evaluate the progress made by the Federated States of Micronesia in meeting the objectives identified in its plan described in subsection (c) of section 211, with particular focus on those parts of the plan dealing with the sectors identified in subsection (a) of section 211, identify problems encountered, and recommend ways to increase the effectiveness of U.S. assistance made available under this Title. The establishment and operations of the Joint Economic Management Committee shall be governed by the 2004 Fiscal Procedures Agreement.
