“As used in this subtitle:“(1) Nursing home nurse aide.—The term ‘nursing home nurse aide’ means an individual employed at a nursing or convalescent home who assists in the care of patients at such home under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
“(2) Home health care aide.—The term ‘home health care aide’ means an individual who—“(A) is employed by a government, charitable, nonprofit, or proprietary agency; and
“(B) cares for elderly, convalescent, or handicapped individuals in the home of the individuals by performing routine home assistance (such as housecleaning, cooking, and laundry) and assisting in the health care of such individuals under the direction of a physician or nurse.
