In this chapter:(1) DepartmentThe term “Department” means the Department of Energy.
(2) DirectorThe term “Director” means the Director of the Office of Science of the Department, except as otherwise indicated.
(3) National LaboratoryThe term “National Laboratory” has the meaning given that term in section 15801 of this title.
(4) SecretaryThe term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Energy.
