Adam Hamilton raised total receipts of $4,169,078 in the 2026 cycle, while the Democratic incumbent candidate in Kansas federal races raised a total of $3,690,440. Patrick Schmidt, another Democrat in the primary field, raised $256,046, while Christy Davis brought in $194,388. The gap between Hamilton and the next-best Democratic challenger is substantial: Schmidt raised less than one-tenth of Hamilton's total.
Incumbents vs. Challengers
Within the Democratic Party, challengers are outraising the incumbent by nearly two to one. Republican incumbents hold a commanding financial advantage over their challengers, outpacing them by more than 800 to one.
