Maxwell Frost recently thanked the Winter Park residents who came to a town hall with him and Mayor DeCiccio to talk about Amendment 3, transportation and other issues, according to the Orlando Standard. He holds Florida's 10th U.S. House District, where the Aug. 18 primaries for both parties were called off. ​

Frost, an Orlando-area Democrat, worked as a community organizer and served as national organizing director for March for Our Lives and as an organizer with the American Civil Liberties Union before entering Congress. Frost advanced from the canceled Democratic primary without appearing on the ballot.

Montague is an entrepreneur, ordained pastor, and community advocate who founded House of Timothy, Inc. and Orlando Under 40, and authored *The Fruits of Leadership*. Ballotpedia lists him among five withdrawn Republican candidates.

What They Stand For

On his campaign website, Frost says he pushed for President Biden to "abolish the Hyde Amendment," which restricts abortion access.

Montague's campaign positions were not available from his campaign website or official channels at the time of publication. Ballotpedia describes him as an entrepreneur and ordained pastor who founded House of Timothy, Inc., and says he authored *The Fruits of Leadership*.

The Money Behind the Race

Federal Election Commission filings show Frost raised about $3.5 million through July 29 and had about $1.3 million in cash on hand.

Race Outlook: Ratings and Betting Markets

The Cook Political Report rated the race "Solid Democratic" as of Sept. 25. Sabato's Crystal Ball rated it "Solid Democratic" as of Sept. 29. Inside Elections rated it "Solid Democratic" as of Oct. 2.

Kalshi traders gave Democrats, whose nominee is Frost, a 97.91 percent chance of winning as of the late afternoon on Oct. 8.

Frost won the district with about 59 percent of the vote in 2022 and about 62 percent in 2024. Republicans held 20 of Florida's 28 U.S. House seats after both the 2022 and 2024 elections, with Democrats holding eight. Donald Trump carried Florida in the 2024 presidential election with about 56 percent of the vote.

The voter-registration deadline was Monday, Oct. 5. The deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Thursday, Oct. 22, by 5:00 p.m. Florida's mandatory statewide early voting period runs from Saturday, Oct. 24, through Saturday, Oct. 31, while Orange County's early voting runs from Monday, Oct. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 1, with hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
