The Race

Rep. Sheri Biggs (R-SC) is seeking her first full term representing South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District after winning the Republican primary on June 9. She will face Eunice Lehmacher (D-SC), who won the Democratic nomination, and Brian Corriea (L-SC) in the Nov. 3 general election.

The district covers much of western and northwestern South Carolina, including Anderson, Greenwood, Oconee, Pickens and Abbeville counties, and has consistently favored Republicans in federal elections.

Ratings

The nation's leading election forecasters agree that South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District strongly favors Republicans. The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato's Crystal Ball all rate the race Solid Republican, indicating broad agreement that Biggs enters the general election with a significant advantage.

Prediction Markets

Prediction markets also point to a decisive Republican advantage. As of late June, Kalshi traders gave Republicans a 95.61% probability of winning South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District, compared with 4.39% for Democrats. At the time, the market had recorded approximately 2,222 contracts traded.

The Payoff: Rare Harmony in Election Forecasting

Professional election forecasters and prediction markets point to the same likely outcome in South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District. While traditional race ratings classify the district as Solid Republican, Kalshi assigns Republicans a 95.61% probability of victory. Both forecasting methods indicate Biggs enters the general election as the clear favorite, reflecting the district's long-standing Republican voting history.
