What Happened?
GOP-sponsored groups are outpacing spending by Democratics by two to one. The latest SuperPAC filings tracked by Legis1 show Republican-sponsored groups have reserved $13.76 million across 223 filings, while Democratic-sponsored groups have reserved $6.93 million across 188 filings. These reservations are ad-buy commitments that outside groups, known as super PACs, file with broadcasters to lock in airtime.
Super PACs can raise and spend unlimited money to support or oppose candidates, as long as they do not coordinate directly with a campaign.

For Democrats, the House Majority PAC (HMP) filed 141 reservations for a net $5.07 million, and WinSenate posted $1.85 million across 41 filings.
Florida led all states with $4.94 million across 56 filings, followed by Wisconsin at $3.05 million and Washington at $3.01 million.
