Aapmr strives to advance the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, promote excellence in physiatric practice, and ACTS as an advocate on public policy issues related to disability. It assists PM&R physicians in acquiring the continuing education, practice knowledge, leadership skills, and research information needed to provide quality patient care, as well as to represent the BEST interests of patients with, or at risk for, temporary or permanent disabilities.
