The baker county corrections management corporation (the corporation) a not-for-profit organization, is a component unit of baker county, florida (the county). The corporation was established on january 24, 2017, to receive a USDA community facilities direct loan for the purposes of purchasing baker correctional development corporation (BCDC), paying off revenue bonds owed by BCDC, and for operating the JAIL facility for the county. The acquisition of BCDC took place on february 6, 2019, for 35,500,000. The facility has 512 BEDS and became operational on JUNE 13, 2009.
