The mission of the battery conservancy is to design, build, maintain, and enliven the battery and its major landmark, castle clinton national monument, inspired by their historical significance and consistent with the values of openness to ALL, environmental responsibility, historical authenticity, design excellence, and innovative education. TBC raises private and advocates for public funds to realize this mission.
