Baxter health's (BH) mission is to provide excellence in medical care for every patient, every time. Baxter health strives to provide quality care in a rural community setting with patient and family friendly customer service. Our 268-BED short-term acute care facility offers a wide range of services and specialties to meet the needs of the communities we serve including cardiovascular, open heart surgery, oncology, orthopedics, obstetrics, adult and geriatric behavioral health, and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Outpatient services include hospital based physician clinics, emergency and ambulance services, home health services, cardiac rehabilitation and imaging center. Physicians, staff and volunteers support our pillars of excellence through their commitment to quality and exemplary patient care while staying financially sound and continually growing our services to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Annually, baxter health reaches beyond the hospital walls to HOST an AREA health fair where members of the communities we serve CAN get free education, lab tests, screenings, blood pressure checks and nutritional information, with over 30 departments from the hospital represented to encourage preventive measures relating to an individuals health.
