About

The BHHS legacy foundation's mission is to enhance the quality of life and health of those we serve. It will accomplish its mission by operating as a supporting organization exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, or to carry out the purposes of: (1) a class of organizations that are exempt from the federal income TAX under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as amended, or are governmental units as referred to in sections 170(b)(1)(a)(v) and (c)(1) and are public charities under section 509(a)(1) or section 509(a)(2) that "enhance or promote the quality of life and health in the state of arizona (or in one or more of the adjacent states of nevada, california, new mexico, UTAH and colorado) by health education, illness and injury prevention, and health service access and delivery for children, families, seniors and others; (2) legacy connection, an arizona nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income TAX under section 501(c)(3) and public charity under sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(a)(VI), whose mission is "including but not limited to addressing fundamental human needs for food, clothing, safety, housing, health and education".
