The mission of the charter school of educational excellence (CSEE) is to produce students who meet or exceed ALL new YORK state learning standards. CSEE will do this by creating a challenging learning environment with high expectations for every child with an emphasis on the basic subject areas of english-language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. The school will employ standards based and research proven curriculum, implement BEST educational practices, use a variety of assessments to measure on-going student progress in skills and content learning, and support teachers with professional development activities that are aligned to the instructional program. Csees emphasis on basic subjects will give students a strong academic foundation that will allow them to become critical thinkers and life-long learners.
