The corporation is operated exclusively on behalf of and for the benefit of claflin university, a south carolina nonprofit corporation, and its mission is to educate students without regard to gender, race, religion or ethnic orgin. The corporation shall solicit, accept, receive, manage and disburse contributions of property, including real property, and income therefrom, and to apply for, accept and expend grants in accordance with their requirements. HWC promotes and creates opportunities for the CU community to actively engage in FUN, recreational and fitness activities, challenging our campus to connect education and lifelong wellness.
