To develop, promote and sustain dance, music and opera productions by MARK morris, and to serve as a cultural resource to engage and enrich the community.MMDG performs MARK morris original works on TOUR in venues both across the u.s. And internationally. MMDG also offers several programs that provide dance and music classes to its neighbors in brooklyn and in cities on TOUR. MMDG leads weekly dance classes for seniors and young people living in local public housing, conducts long-term residencies in brooklyn public schools, provides customized dance workshops for people with parkinson's disease, and shares its beautiful rehearsal studio with hundreds of other dance companies.
