DT institute (the organization) is a nonprofit corporation established on JULY 13, 2019. The organization focuses on strengthening communities and leaders, working with local organizations, and developing new approaches through action-oriented research in the areas of stabilization, transition, and peacebuilding (STP), and media, rights, & democracy (MRD). The organization also works in the technical areas of rule of law (ROL) and economic growth and environment (EGE) programming. Department of state programs within the bureau for near eastern affairs (NEA), the bureau of democracy, human rights, and labor (DRL), and the global engagement center (GEC); the german federal foreign office (FFO) and the department of defense (DOD). As a funding organization, it supports research activities and program implementation globally in the same technical areas. The funds utilized by the organization to support its philanthropic activities are donated from the profits of DT global. The organization is based in washington, DC, with offices in LOS angeles and berlin.
