The eclipse foundation is an international NON-for-profit association that provides vendor-neutral, open development of open source technologies, specifications, platforms, runtimes, frameworks and tools (collectively the ''eclipse technology''). The disinterested purpose of international utility of eclipse foundation is to: a) advance the worlwide creation, evolution, promotion, and support of the eclipse technology; b) cultivate throughout the world both and open source community and an ecosystem of complementary products, capabilities, and services; and c) operate as a bussiness league to advance BEST practices in the adoption of open technologies and promote the common business interests of its members for the benefit of the international industry as a whole.
