Founded forty years AGO, glaad is the world's largest lesbian, GAY, bisexual, transgender, and queer ("lgbtq") media advocacy organization promoting and ensuring fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of people and issues across ALL forms of media to build a culture that embraces full acceptance of lgbtq people. Through education, storytelling, and advocacy glaad reaches mainstream audiences and builds support for equality.
This 501(c)(3) elected the 501(h) safe-harbor — lobbying expenditures are capped under a clear dollar formula instead of the "insubstantial part" standard.
