The purposes for which this corporation is formed are to receive and maintain a fund or funds of real or personal property, or both, and, subject to the restrictions and limitations hereinafter SET forth, to use and apply the whole or ANY part of the income therefrom and the principal thereof for exclusively charitable, religious, scientific, literary, or educational purposes either directly or by contributions to organizations (hereinafter referred to as "IRS qualified organization or "IRS qualified organizations") that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3), and contributions to which are deductible under section 170(c)(2), of the internal revenue code of 1954 (or the corresponding provisions of ANY future united states internal revenue law). Subject to this general limitation of purpose, this corporation is organized; (1) for the advancement of legal education and training at gonzaga law school; (2) for the providing of loans, with or without interest, scholarships, grants, and/or fellowships to qualified and worthy students enrolled at such school; (3) for the construction of or addition to the law school's physical plant; (4) for such other exclusively charitable, religious, scientific, literary or educational activities as would TEND to increase the appreciation and understanding of the legal profession and the study of law by the students of such school, including, but not limited to, the funding of distinguished speakers' programs on legal and related topics at such school, and the granting of awards for outstanding legal research and/or service at such school.
