Greater jamaica development corporation ("GJDC") is a community-building organization that plans, promotes, coordinates and advances responsible development to revitalize downtown jamaica. Marshalling its own resources as well as those of the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, the corporation's focus is to expand economic opportunity and improve the quality of life for the ethnically and economically diverse residents of jamaica. GJDC leverages its substantial capacity to assist other mission-based organizations in southeast queens to increase their effectiveness.
