The mission of helping harvest food bank (HH) is to FEED the hungry. HH is a NON-profit, hunger relief organization founded in 1983 and serves berks and schuylkill counties. HH accepts government commodities, produce, food and NON food grocery products donated by both national and local food manufacturers and distributors, as well as concerned community individuals who conduct food drives through the efforts of the HH operations. Approximately 8,254,108 pounds of grocery products were distributed to low income individuals and families. The food is distributed free of charge to those in need.
