IDE is a global development organization that spans offices in 12 countries, encompassing two social enterprises, employing over 900 people directly, and serving millions of people in rural and PERI-urban households through market-based approaches in agriculture; water, sanitation, and hygiene (wash); and nutrition and health. IDE creates income and livelihood opportunities for poor, rural households in africa, ASIA, and latin america, ultimately fostering prosperity for communities beyond income alone. Our bottom line is measurably improving the lives of our clients: rural farmers, families, and small businesses that are among the world's poorest. IDE strives for a global average of USD $10 in annual income or savings for our clients for every dollar we deploy across our global portfolio. Under this commitment, we report our social return on investment (SROI) over a three-year rolling average. In the period 2022-2024, we achieved a global average of USD $16.9 for every dollar invested by IDE, and a global average annual household income increase of USD $233 (PPP). By the END of 2024, IDE's efforts have impacted over 44 million people since our founding in 1982 and we are committed to growing our reach and impact.
