The jewish communal fund facilitates and promotes charitable giving to sectarian and nonsectarian organizations through donor-advised funds and provides support to jewish organizations in new YORK. JCF enables individuals and families to achieve their philanthropic goals simply and effectively, with full confidentiality. JCF established three distinct types of philanthropic funds - (i) undesignated funds: where the privilege of grant recommendation is given to the donor (and his or her designees) and the distribution of principal and income is governed by JCF grant guidelines. Grant making is subject to the approval of the board of trustees and the charitable distribution committee. (II) designated funds: where the beneficiaries and the schedule of distributions are established at the time of the gift and are approved by the charitable distribution committee. (III) endowment funds: in which the board of trustees and charitable distribution committee have the responsibility of grant making.
