Maine Historical Society's mission is to preserve and share Maine's story. MHS's core program areas include the Brown Research Library, the MHS Museum which includes the Wadsworth-Longfellow House (1785-6), a National Historic Landmark, and the Maine Memory Network (www.mainememory.net), our nationally-recognized digital platform which supports the participation and contribution of 300+ partners across Maine and beyond.
