About
The purpose of neighborhood health clinics, INC. (hereby referred to as NHCI) is to provide access to quality health services where everyone is cared for with compassion and respect. Since 1969 NHCI has provided health care services and has expanded to include a full continuum of primary medical services for ALL. In the heart of a medically underserved population, NHCI offers an array of services at strategically located sites. Services at NHCI include on-site family practice, pediatrics, family planning, prenatal, immunizations, preventive screenings, dental (preventative and restorative), x-RAY, nutritional counseling, and social services. We also provide a sliding FEE scale for those without insurance. Interpretation services are available in ALL languages. From 2021, through 2022 we have been further developing our telehealth services through telehealth medicine and TELE-psychiatry. We serve our clients in five CORE areas of health: medical, dental, behavioral health, vision care, chiropractic, and nutrition. In each of these areas, we offer cross-collaborative support. We serve individuals from 48 different ZIP codes and are the only federally qualified health center in allen county. Approximately 92% of our clients are low-income or in poverty and 26% are uninsured and utilize our sliding FEE scale. In addition to collaborative health care, we offer WRAP-around support with patient navigators, insurance navigators, case workers, and even transportation when needed. LAST year we served 23,472 patients, many of whom would not have access to quality healthcare otherwise. NHCI is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) that attests to its full continuum of services and quality of care. Services at NHCI are available to everyone regardless of ability to pay, race, creed, AGE, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin, as required by law. Medicaid, medicare, and private insurance are billed when appropriate.
