The Association is organized and operated for educational and scientific purposes to augment investigative knowledge of orthopaedic trauma and the prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system related to trauma, encouragement of teaching and education in orthopaedic trauma, and promotion of specialized training for medical and paramedical personnel in orthopaedic trauma. Activities are funded by contributions, dues, annual meeting revenue and fees charged for educational activities.
