To associate manufacturers, individuals and companies engaged in the production and distribution of products for private label for the purpose of education and advancement of the industry, including, among other activities, educating manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers and consumers regarding the quality and value of private label in the economy, providing a trade forum for the exchange of information and ideas regarding the manufacture and distribution of private label products; encouraging efficient business operations and conducting technical research; sponsoring conferences, seminars, publications, studies and executive education programs of interest to the members of the indsutry; serving as the representation and voice of the industry with retailers, suppliers, consumers, government, media and the public; monitoring governmental policies and assisting government agencies in understanding the role of private label in the marketplace.
