The organization's mission furthers objects including (1) to relieve the distress of the elderly by providing facilities and services that relate to the totality of the physical, emotional, recreational, social, and similar needs of the elderly, such as health care (both physical health and mental health), recreation, good nutrition, and financial security; and (2) the promotion of community health (both physical health and mental health) and the relief of associated distress including by the operation of one or more hospitals.
