The mission of SLAM NV is to prepare students for postsecondary studies and careers through an engaging educational program emphasizing sports leadership and management career preparation. The school program will offer students in grades 6-12 opportunities in career exploration and internships through the following academies in the sports leadership and management arena: 1) sports medicine; 2) sports marketing and entertainment media; and 3) sports business and management. The school will improve the academic achievement of students through encouraging the use of innovative and effective teaching techniques ultimately yielding college bound and career-oriented graduates. Through national and community partnerships, students will obtain real-world knowledge and skills in their chosen academy.
