The union league club (the "club") provides facilities for social, intellectual and athletic interaction amongst members, their families and guests. The club was formed during the civil WAR to promote, encourage, and sustain absolute and unqualified loyalty to the government of the united states. The clubhouse contains dining and lounge facilities, a 15,000 volume library, art gallery, squash courts, a fitness center and overnight accommodations. The club conducts a full series of speaker programs, art shows and entertainment activities.
