The specific and primary purpose of village enterprises is to meet the physical, social and psychological needs of the elderly by providing assisted care housing and related facilities on a NON-profit basis.village enterprises combats community deterioration through the development, construction and operation of such housing; lessens the burdens of government by providing much needed affordable housing, alzheimer's care and social services to the elderly; and works with other public and private entities to lessen neighborhood tensions and to address the health and housing needs of low-income seniors in portland, oregon and the surrounding AREA.
