The purpose of the YALE university retiree health benefits coverage trust (yurhbct) is to promote and support the objectives, philosophies and BEST interests of YALE university, which is the donor of assets held, managed and invested by the 501(a) trust and which is a TAX-exempt organization under IRC section 501(c)(3). The trust will hold, manage and invest certain assets contributed by YALE, and will apply the NET income and principal of such property for the support and benefit of YALE by paying insurance premiums, administrative expenses, or direct reimbursement of medical claims for retired former employees as provided under YALE university retiree medical reimbursement plans.
