Larry Klemin, a Republican, has represented District 47 in the North Dakota House of Representatives since taking office on December 1, 1998. Born March 31, 1945, in New Rockford, North Dakota, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota and a law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law, and was admitted to the bar in 1978. He worked as a lawyer with the firm Bucklin, Klemin and McBride, and served in the United States Army's 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.
