Recognizes the courage of the members of the U.S. Armed Forces who participated in the Battle of Peleliu and of all veterans who fought in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Urges the Secretary of the Interior to recognize the year 2004 as the 60th anniversary of that battle, work to protect historic sites of the Peleliu Battlefield National Historic Landmark, and establish commemorative programs honoring the Americans who fought at those sites.
