Honors: (1) the 200 activists marching from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Washington, D.C., in the Free Our People March; and (2) the 20,000 supporters of the marchers for actively participating in change in Medicaid to more effectively meet the needs of people with disabilities. Commends: (1) ADAPT (a national grassroots disability rights group, which organized the March) for bringing people together for 20 years to work for equal opportunity and rights for individuals with disabilities; and (2) the nonprofit organizations and churches that assisted in the March by providing food and shelter.
