The summary of that version is repeated here.)Honors, and calls on all Americans to honor, the men and women of the U.S. armed forces and their families.Encourages those families to proudly display the Blue Star Service Banner (symbolizing military service of a family member) or, if a family member has died during such service, the Gold Star.Calls upon the media to recognize the importance and symbolism of the Banner.
