Referred to the Committee on Government Reform, and in addition to the Committees on Armed Services, and Rules, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
Contract Accountability for Taxpayers Savings Act - Requires Federal agencies to submit to Congress notification of any contracts in amounts greater than $1 million that are proposed to be awarded using procedures other than competitive procedures.
Prohibits any agency from awarding such a contract before the expiration of 30 legislative days after submission of the notification.
Sets forth procedures for congressional consideration of a joint resolution of disapproval of a proposed contract.
