Protection Against Sexual Exploitation of Children Act of 2005 - Amends the Federal criminal code to increase mandatory minimum terms of imprisonment for sexual offenses against children, including: (1) aggravated sexual abuse of children; (2) abusive sexual contact with children under age 12; (3) sexual abuse of children under age 12 resulting in death; (4) sexual exploitation of children; (5) activities relating to material involving the sexual exploitation of children; (6) activities relating to material constituting or containing child pornography; (7) using misleading domain names to direct children to harmful material on the Internet; and (8) production of sexually explicit depictions of children; and (9) conduct relating to child prostitution.
Includes within the definition of "federal sex offense" (for purposes of provisions regarding mandatory life imprisonment for repeat sex offenses against children) offenses under provisions relating to: (1) travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct; and (2) the use of interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor.
