Directing the Secretary of Defense to transmit to the House of Representatives the fiscal year 2010 30-year shipbuilding plan relating to the long-term shipbuilding strategy of the Department of Defense, as required by section 231 of title 10, United States Code.
Requires the Secretary of Defense to transmit to the House of Representatives, no later than September 15, 2009: (1) the FY2010 30-year shipbuilding plan relating to the long-term shipbuilding strategy of the Department of Defense (DOD); and (2) a certification that both the budget for this fiscal year and the future-years defense program relating to the construction of naval vessels are at a level sufficient for the procurement described in the 30-year plan.
