To amend section 214(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act to create, for an alien seeking to enter the United States as a nonimmigrant to care for a relative with a serious health condition, an exemption from the presumption that the alien is an immigrant.
Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to create an exemption from the presumption that an alien seeking U.S. entry is an immigrant for an alien seeking U.S. entry to care for a relative who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with a serious health condition.
Requires such alien to submit an attestation from a health care provider that includes: (1) a diagnosis and treatment statement; and (2) the expected length of such care.
