Federal Prisons Accountability Act of 2016 This bill amends the federal criminal code to require the Director of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to be appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Currently, the Director is appointed by the Attorney General. It also limits the BOP Director to a single term of 10 years. The incumbent Director may continue to serve for three months after the date of enactment.
