This bill requires the Government Accountability Office to evaluate the feasibility of modifying the five-month waiting period for certain individuals entitled to disability insurance benefits by: shortening the waiting period for individuals with more severe disabilities or lower annual household income, and shortening or eliminating the waiting period for individuals with a terminal illness.
