Medicare Telehealth Parity Act of 2017
This bill provides for the incremental expansion of telehealth coverage under the Medicare program. Specifically, the bill expands the lists of:
qualified telehealth originating and distant sites; qualified telehealth providers; and covered telehealth services. Additionally, the bill provides for coverage of remote patient-monitoring services for chronic health conditions.
The bill also allows for a patient-specific waiver process of the required monthly face-to-face visit between an individual with end-stage renal disease and a qualified professional.
