Curtailing Lobbying and Empowering Americans for a New Politics Act of 2018 or the CLEAN Act of 2018
This bill modifies various lobbying restrictions and requirements.
Among other things, the bill does the following:
broadens the scope of lobbying activities that trigger registration and disclosure requirements, limits bundled campaign contributions by lobbyists, prohibits congressional candidates from soliciting campaign contributions from lobbyists while Congress is in session, and requires certain agents of foreign commercial entities to register as lobbyists.
