American Border Act
This bill modifies various provisions related to border security, including by:
directing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to achieve situational awareness and operational control of the southern border, requiring U.S. Customs and Border Protection to carry out a certain minimum number of flight hours in patrol of the southern border, directing DHS to deploy certain infrastructure along specified sectors of the southern border, authorizing DHS to request U.S. National Guard support to secure the southern border, and establishing within DHS the Integrated Border Enforcement Team to work with Canada on border security.
