This bill expands the applicability of an existing criminal statute that protects veterans' monuments.
Currently, it is a crime to willfully injure or destroy a monument that commemorates a person who served in the Armed Forces.
This bill expands the prohibition to also make it a crime to willfully injure or destroy a monument that commemorates a person who signed the Declaration of Independence, or a President.
