This bill limits the amount that private health insurance plans may charge plan holders for insulin drugs to a maximum of $20, or $0 for high deductible plans; pharmacies may charge an uninsured individual who has diabetes the average net price of such drugs after deducting any rebates and discounts provided by drug manufacturers, plus limited additional charges for distributing and dispensing costs.
